2006 UNIN Goals
Goal #1 Provide a strong voice in the development of national nursing informatics policies.
• Communicate issues to UNIN membership, and coordinate responses to national organizations
• Write position papers based on membership feedback
• Serve as a conduit for members to regional and national organizations and activities.
• Model ideal communication strategies that give members a true voice in policy
Goal #2 Continue to formalize UNIN operations
• Web Site established to facilitate communication among members
• Newsletter to members
• Dues structure to support organization activities
Goal #3 Mentoring of Nurse Informaticists
• Encourage & Support members to publish papers
• Scholarships to present papers at national conferences
• Career counseling and networking for available positions
• Recruiting nurses into the field of informatics
• Encourage UNIN members to volunteer for national opportunities |
